Ashis Dutta | | I am writing this to those in Kolkata who may be interested in a trek in the Garhwal Himalayas to Kyarkoti Lake - a relatively un-spoilt region, this summer (around May).
I am coordinating with a trekking organization http://www.himalayanecodrive.com/welcome.html
to customize the trek so that:
one can start from Koktata on Friday evening or Saturday so as to reach Delhi by Saturday morning and get back to Kolkata by Sunday night of the following week (effectively 9 days, one week off from work).
The trip includes the first day of only acclimatization walk. 5 days of trek of between 7 and 10 km each day. Enough time for leisure, rest, photographing and following other pursuits like adventure games, rappelling, rock-climbing, river-crossing, etc.
Price: Rishikesh to Rishikesh (7 days) Rs. 7,035. Arrangements would be made for commuting between Delhi airport and Rishikesh or between Hardwar railway station and Rishikesh at extra cost.
Payment directly to the trekking company.
